Hello! {again!}

Hello Dear Reader; sorry again for the break in service we had some challenging times health wise as a family with my youngest being very ill and me still getting over my illness, we now think we have met nearly the whole of the local paramedic crew!! And although they are all lovely i hope that we don’t need to see them again any time soon!! But on wards and upwards; i have lots of projects to share with you that have been patiently waiting in the ‘to be blogged’ folder on the computer and TONS of news from Stampin’ Up! so you may get a few posts from me at once in order to catch up!

So a few weeks ago now i went to a Stampin’ Up! training day with many of my fellow UK demos and my lovely friend and fellow demo Sue, unfortunately Sue was very poorly and spent the whole event in bed in our hotel room :(

Now as Sue had offered to drive and had organised booking all the room etc i wanted to make her a little pressie and knowing that she likes a scented candle i got her a Yankee Candle and prettied it up SU-style.

This was very simple to do i wrapped some Pool Party Dsp around the candles wrapper with snail so that it could easily be taken off; then added a monogram stamped with the Notable alphabet stamp set and decorated with the Summer Silhouettes stamp set.  I’m happy to say that Sue really liked it;' which for me is half the fun of creating with a specific person in mind.

A tag for your presents

Morning, i don’t know about you but i love to wrap Christmas presents i even wrap family members presents in exchange for pizza ;) i love it that much.  I’m very much a wrap in brown paper then jazz up with pretties it means i always have paper no matter what the occasion.

This tag was made with scraps from the card i posted on Tuesday so these will be going to the same person.  Its a crumb cake label with a scrappy strip of lucky limeade DSP and festival of prints DSP with a gingerbread man on top, then poked a hole and added a loop of bakers twine -  simple.  It only took me a few minutes, used up a few scraps on my desk and will look fab on a parcel especially when the recipient opens the card and sees that they’re matched. I will probably wrap the present with some of the new sweater trim cord before tying the tag on.

Gingerbread man tree ornament

Morning, hope you are well? Something a little different today an ornament for your tree;

scentsational season craftylittlemoo.blogspot.com Created by Charlie-Louise Camp images Stampin' Up! © 2012 (2)

So i love this cute little guy from the Scentsational Season set; i just had to have him in my decorations so i made this ornament.  I used the simply scored board to make a rosette that i glued between two small circles of card to keep it flat {i weighed it down with the stamp block while it dried} i then used one of the circles from the petit pennants die which i threaded with cherry cobbler seam binding to make a sort of wreath effect, then a small circle of festival of print DSP topped off with the gingerbread man and pearls for buttons.  What’s that you say?  We don’t sell red pearls well no you’re right we don't but if you colour them a couple of times with one of our markers letting them dry completely between layers then mist with hairspray to set the colour and there you are pearls in any colour you fancy!

Festive Friday!

Good morning and welcome to the first Festive Friday post;  today is a very simple layout.  A card that is simple to replicate so brilliant for mass production, which is what you need during the festive season. charlie camp holiday collection framelits festival prints stampin up

Its a crumb cake card blank that i have inked around the edges in the matching ink. I have also used crumb cake for the first layer of the mat with very vanilla on top both cut from the Labels Collection Framelits and the Christmas tree is cut with the Holiday Collection Framelits in the gorgeous Champagne Glimmer paper from the seasonal catalogue.  I love the glimmer paper i want to paper the whole living room in it, Mr.C is not so keen on that idea so i may settle for a small bit around my desk, its a fab glittery effect and it doesn't shed which is a major bonus in my eyes; clean glitter!

The DSP is from the festival of prints paper stack which is perfectly sized for cards or photo mats for scrapbooking, and a cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon to top it off.

Hope you like it

O Christmas Tree…..

Morning, Hope you are well?

Just a quick post to show you a little project i came up with few weeks ago.  This cute little tree uses a polystyrene blank some pins and not much in the way of effort.

It was a fun hour spent before the school run last week (we get up very early in this house)

and i recycled a tub that Stampin’ Up! button come in so this project helped my cut down on my waste – sort of!

Pretty Little Flutterby.

Morning All, hope you are all well?  So today my project to share is something you have probably seen on lots of other blogs but i just fancied making one to look pretty on my desk space.

DSC00914

A simple butterfly easel card made using the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies die which i believe is exclusive to Stampin’ Up!

I used Very Vanilla cardstock for the base and the top smaller butterfly, and a small piece of Springtime Vintage DSP.  To make the wings stand away from the vanilla base i used half a dimensional just near the centre which i had secured with tombow.  And just because i seem to be addicted to them at the moment a small strip of rhinestones down the body of the smaller butterfly.

Until next time
