Morning all quick post as today i shall be stalking the window for the UPS man as i have NEW STASH on its way today :D Hurrah!!

As i have a few friends over for a crafting BYO sesh on Friday night i thought i should tidy my desk so i took this photo last night after tidying had been done.

Thought I'd give you a few different shots this week mix it up a bit as it were, i am sorry last week i didn’t get time to comment on everyone that commented on me but i did have a look at your desks i will do my best today.

My Girls

Morning I showed this scrapbook page a few weeks ago that i had made at a Team Stampin Day well at the weekend i finally got round to finishing it. So here it is;

 

My girls on a rare moment of not squabbling with each other! Two seconds after this they were pulling each others hair again! Yet they look so angelic in this photo.  I love Black and white photos as you’ll probably notice because i use them such a lot.

WOYWW? May 2nd 2012

Morning! quick one as i need to tidy up before my friend comes to make more mess(craft!)

As you can see if really need to tidy up! makes a change from it being tidy every Wednesday!  This is what happens when you have a class on a Monday Night then can’t be A’d to tidy up on Tuesday but unreasonably the family wants to eat at the dinner table so here is the ‘old scoop and drop, deal with later’ move!

You can see my brand new SU score board that went live yesterday in the new Summer Mini Catty i need some time to use it for more than scoring card blanks! Although it does that very well indeed! lol
How do you WOYWW?? i hop randomly and then i go back and hop on people that have commented on me (those numbers really help people :) ) and then some times i go back through the list one by one.  How do you WOYWW??

Mr & Mrs

Hello hope you are all well? On Saturday i decided that i was going to get stuck in to some scrapbooking.  I have not done a lot a scrapbooking its something i pick up and then don’t do again for ages.  At Peterborough the other weekend we used a Simply Scrappin’ Set called Tickets and Tags and i had lots of it left over so i thought i would scrap a picture of me and the lovely Mr.C as it was not too feminine a set and i really liked it.

 

Here’s a close up at an arty angle.  My favourite bit is the pearls put together into a flower for the middle of one of the big flowers.

I used the self adhesive die cuts that come with the kit and three of the designer papers and a Basic Grey 12x12 sheet that come in the kit.  These kits are fantastic value they come with 8 sheets of 12x12 cardstock,  6 sheets of 12x12 designer paper, and 3 12x12 sheets of adhesive die cuts for only £18.95!  All i added was some pearls and the adhesives.  I used the
Timeless Type Alphabet Dies for the Big Shot to cut the letters for the title.

Punch Soup becomes a pretty card.

Morning again, Hopefully it wont rain today i am sure that as soon as we was told of the hosepipe ban that is all that it has done!  I don’t mind the rain because i know that we need it but the wind, now that i could do without!

So.. yesterday i told you about my punch soup, well here i will show you one of the ways that i use them.  A couple of weeks ago i went along to a training day in Peterborough hosted by Monica and Bekka and of course any get together means swaps! but Monica set a theme that seemed tricky to begin with.  The theme was ‘yellow’ now i don’t know about you but i rarely use yellow so i really really struggled with what to do for them.  So after trying so many different idea that i was not entirely happy with an idea struck me. 

So here is my swap using my ‘punch soup’

I stamped the blossom stamp from the Easter Blossoms set {Spring Mini} in Soft Suede then i set to shaping the little flowers. i started doing this on the palm of my hand but it soon started to hurt so after trying different ideas i fell on the idea of using a clean cosmetic sponge.

  I shaped them using a new tool that is coming in the New Summer Mini Catty which is due out on May 1st 2012!

I used the Simply Scored Stylus head to shape the flowers just by rubbing the middle of the flower this causes the petals to raise up and form this blossom shape.

As you can see i used all types of paper and card stock i quite like how all the different types sit well together. I picked them mostly randomly making sure that i had at least 3 yellow flowers on each one.

Finished off with a stamped greeting from the same set in a scallop oval made using the punches with a little flower with a pearl in the centre.

To make things easier once i had shaped the flowers i sorted them into colours and found that the best place to store them was an ice cube tray.

I store all of this in an empty Xerox box lid, as you can see this houses my punched bits any bits and pieces that i have stamped and have not made it to a project yet and spares from other projects.
I made 56 of these card fronts and what i had left over from the training day i mounted onto cards to keep for next Easter so i am ahead already lol :)

Punch Soup

Hello again! Ooo get me two days in a row! lol I'll let you in on a secret…. i scheduled this yesterday lol scheduling is a busy bloggers best friend (if it works of course!) I have mentioned a few times my ‘Punch Soup’ and have been asked what it is a few times so i thought i would take the time to explain for you.

Once in a while usually when Mr.C is watching football i will grab my box of scraps and i punch out scallop ovals and bunting with the pennants punch, but i noticed that there was still loads of space left on these scraps of paper and card once i had punched them so i thought hand on i can get my moneys worth by re-punching them with the flower from the Itty bitty Punches.  And because it uses so many different papers and card that it reminds me of soup where i throw everything in and hope for the best.

Here is my ‘Punch Soup’ i love it looking all pretty in the poly bag these were scraps from mostly the Subtles colour family as they’re my favourite colour family.

I find that this way i tend to use up my scraps rather than them sitting in a box forgotten about.

Cupcakes

Hello i am so behind with blogging so i am going to attempt to catch up as life just got in the way and then i got bloggers block! BUT i have been  crafting so there is plenty to show you, starting with March’s paper craft class which was based on Cupcakes!

We made two cards and a pillow box gift box using the Create a Cupcake stamp set and matching builder punch, these are only available until the 30th of April as they’re from the Spring Mini so if you NEED them then you best get your order in asap as we don’t know if they will be back again.

 

And so on to the class;

Here they are all grouped together i like to display the night’s projects on a cake stand just because they look pretty and i have a ‘thing’ for cake stands lol! i think i own at least five now!

The Colour scheme was Crumb Cake, Rose Red and Pink Pirouette, with Whisper White.

 

I love how the builder punch makes it so much quicker to get these cards done no fiddly cutting out.

 

 

 

And here’s a close up for you.

You can see that on the simple card and the pillow boxes i popped a tiny pearl on the cherries – these caused tons of problems for the ladies as they kept flying across the room! lol

WOYWW? April 25th 2012

Morning World just a quick post from me today as have tons of blogging to catch up on it seems my blog block is over and i can do it again lol so pop back later for some of my ramblings on punch soup. :)

Not a lot going on really had a massive scrapbooking sesh on Saturday and Sunday i was in the zone did 4 12x12 layouts and 6 double page 6x6 ones

The union jack layout was designed by Monica Gale for our last team training in April.  New photo of my little girls up on the wall and new baby scrapbook for little H started on Saturday {finally as she’s nearly two!}  Mr.C had obviously only just emptied my pop up bin as i always fold it down and he leaves it plonked in middle of desk.  Have a few punches to put away from a morning stamp sesh with my lovely friend Natalie, who i have recently got hooked on SU and all things craft ;)  The Kilner jar has just been emptied of popcorn kernals so now can be repurposed for storing my great nans button collection which passed to me when she sadly left us in January.

WOYWW?? April 18th 2012

Morning all!!  It is very windy and rainy here in Saffron Walden i am already toying with the idea of lighting the fire and its not even 8 am!!

So here is my desk this morning bit messy the ice cube tray holds some of my ‘punch soup’ I'll tell you more about that another day, then there are the very pretty SU You are loved stamp set that i am using lots atm as it retires at the end of the month and i want to use it as its so pretty. My phone and purse seem to have ended up resting there as i was putting an order for more stash in last night for me and my newly addicted friend Natalie :) and then my note book and diary hopefully there’ll be more crafting happening later.  By this time last Friday i had made 25 cards o the benefit of Easter holidays and having no school run :)

 

Some people asked last week where i keep my stamps?  Well here they are up on a shelf above my desk (although i do have a box of retired SU stamps that i love under my desk) this is a vey tiny collection compared to what i had before my little H was born.  I used to have a walk in cupboard that many people had tried to convince me to change into a downstairs loo, full of stamps, when we moved Mr.C decided to start counting as we packed up and he gave up at 4000 with 3 boxes full still to go!!  I have since sold all of them as they were sitting unloved for the best part of a year although i couldn’t bear to part with my Penny Black collection i had started at the age of 8!! so they’re packed safely away under my bed i might give them an airing soon team them up with some of my SU card stock and Markers.

WOYWW?? April 11th 2012

Hello! Not much on my desk this week partly cos we had a massive change around in the living room yesterday, so my desk is uber tidy today not powered up yet and 10cm missing off the desk to make it fit, but at least we have masses more space now in the rest of the room

So here it is in situ on the other side of the room all tidy and organised for now, it will be messed up later as i have a friend coming over for a play date as we are both child free today {well me mostly i still have the littlest one but she’s easy}

WOYWW? 28-March-2012

What’s on my workdesk……………Nothing! lol

This is truly how my workdesk is, i have finished prep-ing for tonight’s ‘Cupcakes’ Class and i have been a good girl and tidied up straight away as i will need my desk to lay out the project packs tonight.

As you can see still not taken a photo of the girls for my layout yet! lol A few people asked what classes i taught last week, well i teach paper craft classes usually a card or two a scrapbook page and a 3D item, so a bit of everything. I have 6 ladies coming tonight who are fairly new to crafting and we will be using the SU create a cupcake stamp set and the matching cupcake builder punch.

Morning quick post today as i am going to tackle the mess that is my desk i have a class next week and the boxes on the desk are so that i can prep each project and ‘group’ the supplies together.

Hello WOYWW-ers and all that follow, thank you Ms Dunnit for my WOYWW badge that i received last week a little bit of happy post.

So to the desk this week, a medley of shots today just to mix it up a bit

So…… i have finally cleared the mess i made and i can even fit the laptop back on the desk! On the opposite side of the desk is a Xerox box lid which is my ‘in progress’ box at the moment.  These are incomplete projects from training days, possible projects for classes and just things i am generally playing with.  In the middle on my grid paper is a small mountain of paper that emerged when i decided enough was enough with my craft magazines and i decided to only keep the pages i liked or had something pretty on…………….. now i need to find something to do with these! lol o well.  On top of my cubby are some stamped bunny images from the SU ‘Everybunny’ set i have been playing with colours for them i maybe happy with them by Easter 2013!

And you may even be able to spot my WOYWW badge in the pictures :)

Just a quick not of thanks to all that view and comment, thank you so much really cheers me up and proves to Mr.C that i am not just talking to myself.

WOYWW?? March 7th 2012

A right royal mess and this time the dumpee was …….. Me!! i had been crafting a la dining table again……….Mr.C started huffing when he walked past last night so i scooped it all up and dumped on said desk!

 

SO once my croissants have finished cooking {Waitrose frozen section so yummy!} that is on my to do list!

And here is a quick picture of what i was working on when making the mess just a simple one layer postcard to say thanks to a lovely friend and hopefully it will arrive with her this morning Mr Postman willing.

WOYWW?? ..Leap Year! 29-Feb-2012

Morning all i am back in the swing of posting now but my desk is shamefully untidy today so perfect for a good WOYWW nose about! Silver linings and all that! lol!

So a lot of mess, you may say pretty layout but not much room to craft.  No there isn’t so ……… I’ve spread ……….. onto the dining table much to the disgust of Mr.C as i left my mess over night {cardinal sin in this house!}

I was prepping a class last night that i am taking to my dear friends house tonight who has unfortunately been unwell lately so if she can’t come to the party we’ll come to her!!

I made myself too many choices thou as i was on a roll lol so the selection needs to be pared down and the project pack got ready so wish me luck for a busy morning. THEN i’ll have to tidy up to save Mr.C’s sanity! lol

March Events

Hello, hope you are well?

Just a quick post to let you know that the next meeting of the Craft Group is Tuesday March 6th 2012 7.30pm-9.30pm.  This is a ‘bring your own’ group so please bring along whatever you are currently working on.  The cost is only £3.00 and will be held at my home {address supplied on reservation of space} please email me to reserve your space so i have an idea of numbers.  New members and Beginners always welcome.

The next paper craft class in the diary is ‘Cupcakes’ and is on Wednesday March 28th 7.30pm-9.30pm we will be making 3 projects on a cupcake theme.   The cost of this class is £10.00 including all materials to complete the projects and payment is required in advance so that i can order the materials.  Last day of booking is Wednesday March 21st.

Also i have had a request for a Scrapbooking Club, i would love to add this too my diary of events if there is enough interest, please let me know if this is something that you would like to do.

Winds of Change……..

Hello, hello, hello, how are you all? I should think you are all wondering where on earth i have been?! Lol well the first week in January we had a call out of the blue from the local authority offering us a house! Once we had got over that shock came the shock that we had to move that weekend!! The house was in a complete mess so we stayed on at the flat for an extra week and cleaned and painted like our lives depended on it and in just 4 days we had cleaned and painted and glossed everything in the house ready for the carpet fitters.  I even managed to teach a class one night that week and i thank the lovely ladies that came for excusing the upheaval and me covered in paint!

 

So i had to pack up all my craft stuff and move it down the road to our new home.

Yes i did say temporary.  One of the benefits of our lovely new home is that it is a 1940’s house with an original tiled fireplace and large bedroom for the girls and a lovely big garden, we also have outbuildings off our kitchen and Mr.C has earmarked one of these as a craft room for me!!

I cant believe it but Mr.C has assured me that as soon as possible the room will have heating and plastered walls and then i can move in!

As you can see it needs some work, at the moment it is housing our tumble dryer and odds and sods which is waiting there till Mr.C completes his organisation of the other outbuilding.  But look at all the light, and the window over looks what will be our veg patch.

 

So that’s what has happened to the Camp household lately i will be back soon with some crafting i promise.  I don't think Mr.C will be able to fulfil my request at Christmas all i asked him for was a quiet year and yet only 2 weeks into 2012 our whole world went upside down! We are now back to something resembling normal life although i cant get used to all the space we have now and seeing a garden and it all being ours its been 2 long years in the flat it will take a while to believe we got so lucky.

WOYWW Jan 11th 2012

Morning all, not much happening on my desk this week, my gorgeous new bag arrived yesterday from SU – it was the 2011 Convention Bag and is only available to Demo’s it is so gorgeous i just keep staring at it and stroking it Mr.C thinks i love it more than him!  I have assured him i am just in the throws of lust! Behind that is my box of swaps from my latest Training Day trip at the weekend {more of that later} and a little pop up bin that will be much better at holding my mess than my tiny green bucket!  My diary is out as i have been booking in people for card classes and planning my next lot.  This week is a planning week for me.  Right must go and tidy up my desk stop stroking my new bag so i can get on with some crafting. I have to find my project under there for the Craft Group tonight or i will have to sit and gossip rather than craft – ooo won’t that be different from every other month?! lol

Spring Mini Blog Hop!

 

Hello thank you for joining me today if you are expecting my usual workdesk Wednesday pic pop back later and I'll have loaded that up too.

First today i am taking part in a Blog Hop organised on ILWS forum to celebrate the fact that we have an EXTRA Mini Catalogue this year so not only do we have all the gorgeous lovely's that this brand new catalogue launched today brings we also have another one to look forward to later in the year also!! How fab is that??!!

Well you may ask what is a Blog Hop?? We all get to together and link our posts in a big circle of inspiration and loveliness, so pull up a chair settle your self with a drink and enjoy.

For those that have joined me from Laura HELLO!! and if you would like to start from the first post you can find it at Alison’s Blog.  Right on to my project.

 

My project today uses a brand new Stamp set and co-coordinating Punch so nice and quick as the punch does all the cutting out for you.  {lazy moi?}

I made these cake picks for my famous triple chocolate filled muffins that my friends request for every visit and birthday i had my two best friends over this week so i thought i would pretty up our cakes with these simple picks.

I used another new punch the 2-3/8” (6cm) Scallop punch to punch the base out of pink pirouette DSP from the Subtles Stack one for each side of the cocktail stick.  I then stamped the cupcake frostings from the Create a Cupcake Stamp Set in rose red with perfect plum sprinkles, and then stamped a cupcake case in crumb cake with a perfect plum ribbon.  Both were then punched out with the Cupcake Builder Punch and mounted on to the Scallop Circles, i finished off the picks with a tail of pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon.

Happy New Year!!

Okay, okay a few days late but the thought is there! lol

I had scheduled some posts but for some reason unbeknown to me they did not post so here i am trying to rectify the mess!

I am also trying {and failing miserably} to be as quiet as a mouse as Mr.C started his History Degree with the Open University this week and is currently ploughing his way through a massive book whilst referring to the set Dvd also!  I think his Christmas present from me will set him apart from the other students – a Gruffalo notepad!!  Mr.C will deny it but he loves the Gruffalo and says he only reads the books or watches the film for the girls sake but who’s he kidding?!?!

 

So i hope you all had a fabby Christmas with your loved ones too much food and lots of longed for and lusted after presents.  It is officially all over as i have spotted Easter eggs in the shops already!! I mean what is the need really?? Although there is a small part of me thinking cool i can start making my Easter treats well in advance hee hee.

On to the New Year i have loads of plans as always, never resolutions though as i find them to much pressure to stick to and invariably i have broken it by erm …now! lol so they’re not for me!

 

Lots of exciting new happings to share with you in the SU world but you will have to come back on the 4th when i will be taking part in a blog hop with other Demos arranged on ILWS.

What’s on your workdesk Wednesday?

 

Well Not a lot crafting has happened on my desk this week! Mr.C and M have dumped stuff on it which i had to scoop off before taking this picture about 5mins ago its still so dark here!!

You can see my scrap box overflowing that i have been trying to use up for gift tags etc. while doing the Christmas presents.  My spanky new diary is out an open as i was trying to pencil in my classes for next year.  You can also see a pack of freebie felt pieces that i got free with a magazine they’re not my thing so M will be using them to make her Christmas card for her daddy this year Mr.C will be pleased he loves a card made by the girls.

So my plan for the day is to clear my desk properly so it will be functioning well for all the yummy new stash my hubby has brought for me during the Demo only pre order for the New SU Spring Mini Catalogue, He swiped the box away before i could have a proper look!!! Roll on Sunday!!

2011 was the year …..

Inspired from Bekka Prideaux’s Blog Feeling Crafty, this post is titled ‘2011 was the year…’

2011 was the year that;

Me and Mr.C got married on May 18th

My dreams of a beautiful Kitchen Aid mixer was realised when we received one as a wedding gift (and we have all put on a little weight! lol)

I finally convinced Mr.C to build me a new Craft space in our new home.

I was invited to a team training day in Peterbourgh held by Monica and Bekka.  I made lots of new friends and was introduced to the world of swaps.

I decided to take the plunge and overcome my techno fears to create a blog and post semi-regularly on it ;).  And take part in What’s on Your Work-desk Wednesdays?

After 3 years (!) of over thinking it, i finally signed up as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

My not so little any more M started Primary School

Joined the PTA and Organised a very successful Indulgence Evening.

Managed to finish and post all my Christmas cards out in time for last posting for the first time ever!

And much much more, as obviously little H has changed so much over the year learning to talk and walk and generally cause mischief!  M learnt to ride a bike this year.  Mr.C has bravely become a mature student and decided to start a History Degree i am so proud of him i not it is not in vogue but i really do love my Husband so much he is everything to me and he is the kindest most generous gentle man if a bit too tidy to live with a crafter!  He is also my best friend and is so supportive of everything that i do and provides for us perfectly and is the best Daddy i could ever want for my Daughters.

Mr.C supported and encouraged my decision to become a Demo for SU and because of him i get to indulge my passion for crafting while building a business in a field where i actually want to go out to work because it doesn’t feel like work and i have made honestly loads of friends.

Deck the Halls……….

 

That has to be one of my favourite Christmas Songs i love the ‘fa la la la la’ bit lol.  Today i thought u i would share my Christmas Cards with you as most people will have received them by now.

I went for a monotone scheme of Old Olive with a bit of Very Vanilla.  I have embossed a panel of Od Olive card stock with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder {can you tell it was still out on my desk! lol} Then a Top Note piece of Very Vanilla which i stamped the family decorating the Christmas tree image from the Welcome Christmas set again in Old Olive and inked round the edges in the same ink.  This was mounted on Dimensionals and decorated with rhinestones and pearls for the baubles.  The sentiment is from the same set again stamped in Old Olive with a fold of Old Olive satin ribbon behind and mounted on Dimensionals.  It was then all spritzed with Shimmer spray made with SU’s Champagne Shimmer Paint.

 

I do hope that everyone liked them.

A gift for Georgia….

Afternoon my Mr.C and his Brother are currently watching tons of Football so i thought i would take the opportunity to share with you what i have been up to and schedule a few posts for later in the week when i am sure like most people i will be very busy!

So to a little gift box i have made in Rich Razzleberry using the Pillow Box die and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

I also used the Beautiful Butterflies Die to make the gift tag and a few Pearls to pretty it up.

Simple and very quick so perfect for wrapping Christmas Gifts, i cant tell you what’s inside in case Georgia sneaks a peak at my Blog before Christmas.

WOYWW Dec 14th 2011

Hello Wednesday! I am in a very good mood today as i have finished all my requests for Christmas cards and finished my own my tree is up and decorated and all presents {apart from those still on route to us via her Maj’s Mail service!} are wrapped and under the tree so today i can do what ever the fudge i want to! It is still dark outside in Saffron Walden this morning the weather is appalling so i cant wait for school to break up Friday so no more school runs for 2 whole weeks!

SO to the desk i have three photos today two of how it looked yesterday and last night and one of how it is this morning.

This is how i started the day at 9.45am {after school run, a food shop and breakfast}

 

This is my desk at  1.40 pm 

And this is my desk this morning now that every thing has been finished off at last!  It is a very good deal that my friends and family buy the card stock or a particular stamp that they want me to use so i affectively get to craft for free but maybe next year i should get people thinking about their cards a bit earlier in the year?? lol.  I am sure i say that every year?!  In fact maybe i should write in my diary in June ‘Make Christmas Cards’ then at least mine would be done, but then I'd probably lose them in that magic place called ‘somewhere safe’ and have to do them again!!

What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday??

This was taken yesterday lunchtime i am mid finishing off some Christmas Cards for a Family friend, its a good deal i get to craft, she gets her nice Christmas Cards and she just pays me for the materials that i use, so basically i am crafting for free {and not having to store what I've made!}  I could lie and say that on the laptop was something intellectual but really it was East enders on the I player! lol

What’s on Your Work-desk Wednesday?

Hello i am getting my bum back in gear with my blogging and here is my work-desk this week.

 

Well it looks a shameful mess does it?! lol that is what happens when everyone in the house is poorly so projects get dumped mid way on the desk.  And this was taken after all the other things like school bags had been removed!!  As my Desk is just inside the door of the Living room people who shall remain nameless {Mr.C and M! lol} tend to come in and dump their stuff on my desk!!

So what is going on this week? Well the pile of cardstock in the centre is where i have been having a session of cutting card blanks as i have lots of Christmas cards to make for family and friends.  I love my little green bucket we had these on the tables at our wedding earlier in the year full of sweets it is perfect on my desk to be a bin, help me stay a little tidier.

Hello! I am Alive!

Hello i am alive, i am very sorry for the delay in my blogging, almost a month now unfortunately life got in the way.  The Camp household has been very poorly firstly it was me who was ill with tonsil-blooming-itis for the 1000th time!  Then it was the turn of the tinies, firstly little baby H has had horrible teething problems and then infection after infection and has lost lots of weight poor little thing, she still has an awful cough now.  And then M has got this awful cough too i have been assured by the doctors that there is tons going around and so it seems every little one has some sort of bug at the moment! O well that is the end of my griping, on to the good stuff.

So in early November i had a workshop at home with some of my ‘mummy’ friends to show them just what it was all this Stampin’ Up! malarkey is all about! lol  Now they’re not crafters {although i think i have one converted!} so i had to think of simple projects that still had the wow! factor here is what i came up with;

{photos clockwise from top; project packs all ready, our three projects, perfect plum bauble card, Tree Trimmings mini card, Robin Bookmark, the table all set up with thank you gifts}

We had lots of fun and everyone was really impressed with the results that they achieved with the simplest of steps to get there.
