Deck the Halls……….

That has to be one of my favourite Christmas Songs i love the ‘fa la la la la’ bit lol.  Today i thought u i would share my Christmas Cards with you as most people will have received them by now.

I went for a monotone scheme of Old Olive with a bit of Very Vanilla.  I have embossed a panel of Od Olive card stock with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder {can you tell it was still out on my desk! lol} Then a Top Note piece of Very Vanilla which i stamped the family decorating the Christmas tree image from the Welcome Christmas set again in Old Olive and inked round the edges in the same ink.  This was mounted on Dimensionals and decorated with rhinestones and pearls for the baubles.  The sentiment is from the same set again stamped in Old Olive with a fold of Old Olive satin ribbon behind and mounted on Dimensionals.  It was then all spritzed with Shimmer spray made with SU’s Champagne Shimmer Paint.

I am Alive!!

Hello everyone, i am still alive so sorry for my lack of posts lately i have been a useless blogger!  It has been a busy time in the Camp household as our eldest M. started ‘big school’ this week so there has been lots of preparations to do.

I have also tackled the black hole casually known as under our bed!! So after sorting all that i now have a ton of stuff to put on that well known auction site one of the worst jobs on my to do list!  But i also have lots of space to store my Lace pillows so i may even finish off a piece, i have two pieces on the go at the moment that were started long before little H was even born!

So anyways enough of that, here is a Christmas card for you, made using the Top Note die for the Big Shot to make an easel card.

Crumb Cake base, with a half layer of Very Vanilla that has the Music Notes wheel off stamped in Crumb Cake ink with Dasher over stamped in Crumb Cake Ink finished of with Crumb Cake Seam Binding.  The sentiment is from Heard From The Heart Stamp Set.  I have edged everything with Crumb Cake Ink to give it that Vintage feel.

Birthday Card for Maggs;

Hello all, i am so sorry for the lack of posting lately, it’s school holidays here and its manic my eldest M, doesn’t seem to be able to be entertained by something for more than 5mins at a time so that’s my inky time out of the window!

Well this weekend it was Mr.C’s Aunt’s birthday, and not only being his Aunt Maggs is also a very dear friend of mine, so with out fail i had to make her a card.

I used the gorgeous Level One Hostess set Because I Care because i love the Hydrangea Head.

I stamped the Perfect Plum Base all over with the flower head in Perfect Plum Ink, and did the same on the Crumb Cake Top Note layer with Crumb Cake InkDSC00971

I then stamped the flower head image in Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery Ink using my Classic Stampin Spots on a Whisper White Top Note.  The sentiment is from the Level Two Hostess Set Something to Celebrate, from the Mini Catalogue.  All trimmed with the gorgeously tactile Crumb Cake Seam Binding.  I am happy to say that that Maggs loved the card, she’d already had her birthday present back in July when we went to see Take That at Wembley together.

All products used are Stampin’ Up! and are Available to order from me;

just send me an email.

Just a Little Note….

Hello again, hope you are having a good week thanks for joining me again today, today i plan to have a lazy day in my PJ’s and hopefully I'll get inky a bit later, as on Saturday we swapped wardrobes with the children’s and changed their room around, so i am in need of a rest!

Today the project i am sharing with you is small, i often get asked by my regular customers for note paper for thank you’s so i thought i would use the Top Note and Scallop Envelope dies (SU exclusive) for the Big Shot to make a small set;

 DSC00911

They may be small but they are the perfect size for saying thank you or if you’re my eldest daughter they’re prefect for playing ‘Postman Pat’!  The images are from the Baby Blossom stamp set the flower heads were stamped 3 times once each in Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, and finally in Rose Red inks and the stems were stamped in Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi inks, all from my Subtles Classic Stampin’ Spots set.

I hope you like them

Until next time

Christmas in July ……Part One.

Evening all, i hope that this finds you well?  Sorry for the lack of posts last week.  I went to the Peterborough Training Day organised by Monica and Bekka on the Sunday and enjoyed myself immensely but came home completely shattered, which obviously was touch paper for a lurking bug that had been threatening me to pounce and wipe me out!  I spent most of last week feeling sorry for myself , whilst trying to carry on with a very busy week which included Milli’s last day a Pre-School (Sob!). but i did manage to fit in a few hours crafting this weekend which i will share with you later but first…….My Swaps!

I had more notice for this training day but that didn’t mean that making my swaps was any easier, in fact it was harder because i kept changing my mind on what i was going to do!  But that does mean that i will have some extra projects to share with you in the future.

So firstly i made a pouch for sweets using the Top Note die for the Big Shot and the SU Ornament Punch.  I chose an unusual colour way of Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink (partly because i had lots of these colours left over from my wedding invites earlier in the year, and partly because i like it! lol) even the sweet wrappers were pink and green!

DSC00724DSC00725-1

But i only had enough sweets to make 6!! so i had to go back to the drawing board.  I asked my lovely friend Caroline if i could borrow her Pillow Box die for the Big Shot and kindly she agreed and even drove it all the way to me even though it is nearly an hours drive!!

SO……using the same colour way i sat myself in front of the TV with my Big Shot and cut 20 in each colour then using the bauble from the Contempo Christmas stamp set i stamped 20 of each in matching SU Ink.  I assembled them with a belly band of DSP from the Subtles Stack, and here they are;

I think that they look pretty good if i do say so myself! LOL  i shall be back soon with part two and the swaps that i received in return plus photos of the gorgeous items on display in the Inspiration Area.

Until next time

My new work space......

Hello hope you are all good and well?
I am extremely giddy with excitement at the moment as i have a lovely large box of stash due to arrive tomorrow, all thanks to my lovely family treating me last Sunday on my Birthday.  Although i do feel sorry for Mr UPS man who has to carry the box as nestled in with all my goodies will be my new Big Shot Machine! Yay! Although i have had one before when they first came on the market all those years ago when my little girl was only a tiny baby, i am still SO excited about it arriving!

As i mentioned earlier in the week Mr.C. finally had time to build me a workspace as he had some time off work well he has now added some shelves for me to store my stamps on

and last night while Mr.C and his Aunt watched a film i road tested my new work space.  I made two top note easel cards

The first one is using SU Perfect Plum and Bashful Blue with the Hello Again stamp set.

I love this set i think its reall 'happy' if it is possible for a stamp set to be happy?
I used a blue button from the Subtles Collection to anchor the easel card when it was open and one of the plum flower buttons at the bottom of my sentiment banner.  The sentiment is from the SU Trendy Trees Stamp Set
i also stamped inside on Very Vanilla Cardstock so that there was space to write as the plum back ground is hard for biro to be seen on.

I also made an easel card in Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery (don't cha just love the SU colour names? lol!) as well, using the Trendy Trees stamp set, i think this set is my favourite at the moment.......hmm well till my new stamps arrive tomorrow! lol

Again i have used the plum flower buttons and this time my base card is a Very Vanilla one i cut myself .
Sorry that the photos are not the best its very rainy here in Saffron Walden, and i have taken the photo in every room and these ones taken in the bedroom were the best of a bad bunch!
