So Long, Fare Well…. {blog hop}

…………………………. auf weidersehen good-bye! You know the song lol i couldn’t resist!
We are coming to the end of the Current Catalogue so that means in order to make room for our new and extended range some items sadly have to leave us; some of these our favourites and will be missed but on the positive side it does mean lots of yummy new stash coming our way next month {eep!!}
A few of us on In Love With Stamping decided to do a blog hop today to showcase our favourite stamps sets that are bidding us farewell this month.  Now if you are new to this a blog hop is where a group of blogs link together in a big circle and we hop from blog to blog ending up where you started again.

So onto the Stamp set that i love; and i do mean love it was a long held joke between a demo friend of mine that she would hear me scream NOOOOOOOO! if it was retired! It was one of the first sets i brought even before i became a demo and i have used it for so many occasions it is perfect for both Men and Women.

Here are some projects i have made using the Trendy Trees set;
DSC02080
Mini Milk carton and gift card
DSC02084
Trio of mini cards
DSC02085
gift box for the trio of cards
So i will really miss this set i use it such a lot.  If you would like to see what is on the retired list you can find it here;

Springtime Vintage……….. Part Three

Good Morning All, Hope you are all well? My Mother in Law is coming to help with the children today so that i can have a slightly more restful day as i have had them on my own since Monday and i am not quite recovered yet so i am in need of a rest!  Why is it that in the summer holidays little people seem to be almost exploding with extra energy!?!?
Hopefully while she takes them down the park i can have a short interruption free inky time. :) my craft space is in what is basically a corridor so my chair is in the way if you want to go anywhere so i am always jumping up to let people past, so while they are out i shall be able to sit for the entire tie it takes me to finish a project!
Any way on to today’s project, here it is;
DSC00866
This little card is again on a Baja Breeze 4’’x4’’ blank that i cut myself, i have used two different sheets from the Springtime Vintage DSP the main layer that is folded back on itself has a pink stripped alternate side so i used a small scrap of another to cover up the folded corner so that it wasn't pink! i then added another small scrap of DSP this time the white floral print, peeking out, the corner was secured with a brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware set as is the frame surrounding the ‘thanks’ sentiment which is from the Trendy Trees Stamp set which was partially inked with Early Espresso.  The card was then finished with Baja Seam Binding, can you tell that Baja was out on my desk this week?? lol I have used a lot of it!
Here is another two photos of the trio all together.

I am thinking of giving these as a gift set together.
Until next time

Springtime Trio………. part two

Thank You for joining me again today, here is the second of my Springtime Vintage Trio.

DSC00865

Again i cut the base for this card from Crumb Cake, then layered up a square of Baja Breeze with a square of Springtime Vintage DSP, i then added a offcut of Crumb Cake.  I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso Ink from the Trendy Trees Stamp Set onto a small strip of Baja Breeze cardstock and mounted it on dimensionals.  Finally i finished off with some rhinestones and a water scrunched Baja Seam Binding Bow.  I love that you can achieve this look so easily but dampening the seam binding and scrunching before letting it dry – and it stays like it!

I shall be back tomorrow with the last one

Until then

My new work space......

Hello hope you are all good and well?
I am extremely giddy with excitement at the moment as i have a lovely large box of stash due to arrive tomorrow, all thanks to my lovely family treating me last Sunday on my Birthday.  Although i do feel sorry for Mr UPS man who has to carry the box as nestled in with all my goodies will be my new Big Shot Machine! Yay! Although i have had one before when they first came on the market all those years ago when my little girl was only a tiny baby, i am still SO excited about it arriving!

As i mentioned earlier in the week Mr.C. finally had time to build me a workspace as he had some time off work well he has now added some shelves for me to store my stamps on

and last night while Mr.C and his Aunt watched a film i road tested my new work space.  I made two top note easel cards

The first one is using SU Perfect Plum and Bashful Blue with the Hello Again stamp set.

I love this set i think its reall 'happy' if it is possible for a stamp set to be happy?
I used a blue button from the Subtles Collection to anchor the easel card when it was open and one of the plum flower buttons at the bottom of my sentiment banner.  The sentiment is from the SU Trendy Trees Stamp Set
i also stamped inside on Very Vanilla Cardstock so that there was space to write as the plum back ground is hard for biro to be seen on.

I also made an easel card in Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery (don't cha just love the SU colour names? lol!) as well, using the Trendy Trees stamp set, i think this set is my favourite at the moment.......hmm well till my new stamps arrive tomorrow! lol

Again i have used the plum flower buttons and this time my base card is a Very Vanilla one i cut myself .
Sorry that the photos are not the best its very rainy here in Saffron Walden, and i have taken the photo in every room and these ones taken in the bedroom were the best of a bad bunch!

until next time

Peterborough Training, and meeting the lovely Monica!

hello all, hoping you are well? i am just recovering from my busy few days, saturday i managed to finish my swaps for the training day organised by monica.  sunday i went to peterborough to monica's team training which i was invited to by my stampin' up! demo caroline, and then monday night was the second meeting of the saffron walden craft group that i started last month.

so firstly my swaps, after many failed attempts that ended up in the bin my mojo completely failed me so i went off down the town with my nan and granddad and had a lovely lunch at ASK and then attempted to teach milli how to ride her bike for the afternoon.
with my head totally clear i sat down to make my swaps and asked Mr.C. his opinion and he said 'plain and simple' so i grabbed my 'trendy trees' stamp set and my stamp-a-ma-jig and got cracking here is what i came up with;

i think that they came out quite well but on the day the green ones where the most popular i only had 2 of those left!  i really love my stamp-a-ma-jig i wasn't too sure about it when i purchased it but couldnt see how i could use the 'trendy trees' without it, but now i really love it once i got my head round it its really simple and i always get my tree trunks in the right place which always helps! lol.

and so to training, i was invited to the team training event as i am thinking of joining stampin up! as a demo and caroline thought that coming to training would help in my decision, well it did! but also made my shopping list grow!! lol
we made some lovely 'make and take' projects and i met some lovely ladies including the rest of caroline's team of owls donna and helen.  and the swapping was lots of fun, it was lovely to see other stampers work and to get a small bit to take home and peruse at leisure.
here are some of the swaps that i received

and this photo is of the swaps made from left by helen, caroline and donna.

and so to the make and takes;

this was one of the projects we made with the 'nature's walk' stamp set.  i had originally overlooked this stamp set when looking through the mini catalogue as i wasnt sure what i would really do with it but after using it on sunday it is so on my wish list now!! lol

we also had some business talks from monica and bekka which i found really informative and helpful, they both speak and fill you with such inspiration that i had planned my launch party in my head before i've even signed my forms! lol

i met some really lovely and talented ladies who all welcomed me into their group for the day, had a lot of fun crafting for the whole day and seeing lots of others craft projects i have tons of photos but i think i may have rambled on far too long as it is now! lol
sorry for the long post and if you are still with me thank you for popping by until next time ttfn.
