WOYWW?? April 18th 2012

Morning all!!  It is very windy and rainy here in Saffron Walden i am already toying with the idea of lighting the fire and its not even 8 am!!

So here is my desk this morning bit messy the ice cube tray holds some of my ‘punch soup’ I'll tell you more about that another day, then there are the very pretty SU You are loved stamp set that i am using lots atm as it retires at the end of the month and i want to use it as its so pretty. My phone and purse seem to have ended up resting there as i was putting an order for more stash in last night for me and my newly addicted friend Natalie :) and then my note book and diary hopefully there’ll be more crafting happening later.  By this time last Friday i had made 25 cards o the benefit of Easter holidays and having no school run :)

Some people asked last week where i keep my stamps?  Well here they are up on a shelf above my desk (although i do have a box of retired SU stamps that i love under my desk) this is a vey tiny collection compared to what i had before my little H was born.  I used to have a walk in cupboard that many people had tried to convince me to change into a downstairs loo, full of stamps, when we moved Mr.C decided to start counting as we packed up and he gave up at 4000 with 3 boxes full still to go!!  I have since sold all of them as they were sitting unloved for the best part of a year although i couldn’t bear to part with my Penny Black collection i had started at the age of 8!! so they’re packed safely away under my bed i might give them an airing soon team them up with some of my SU card stock and Markers.

Happy WOYWW

Until Next time

WOW what a lot of stamps you had for sale. It's dangerous to let the men start counting - luckily mine gives up with a groan when he enters the room.
Well done for making 25 cards - that's an achievement.
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet #1 xx

Never admit to how many stamps you have, when I get asked I usually say, hmmm, about 50..... It only leads onto...and how much does a stamp cost...then we're in trouble!!

I love all the bits and pieces you have on your shelves - I'd have those as well, given half a chance! Re: stamps. It's interesting that the more we have, the less we use them. I can only relate to fabric of course, but have found that if I buy less, I use it all up rather than being left with loads of unused stash. But oh, the temptation of new fabric...mmmm... this is exactly why I've never got into beads and jewellery making!! LOL

Stamping is an addiction isnt it! I caved in a long time ago and actually took all my wooden mounted stamps off their blocks and stuck them into ring binders - made me use them a lot more as before I couldnt get to them either! Well done on getting 25 cards made too and I love your tidy workspace! my children are still off this week so I am hoping to get a bit creative as its raining! Crafting is addictive and only another crafter will understand that. Keep the Penny Blacks, they are so cute and bring them out and give them another lease of life, they deserve it!!! Karen 79 x

Your desk looks great, I love those cubby holes at the back of it! Very brave to sell all your unused stamps, would love to know how and where you did it.. ebay? I should do the same, I don't think I have quite 4000, but it can't be all that far off it.....

Have a great week and enjoy this special WOYWW!

That's a crazy lot of stamps..how brave of you to part with them. As I've gotten older (not necessarily wiser) I have decided a few things had to go and I used the one year as a measuring tool. If I hadn't touched it in a year...time to go. Unfortunately, that only makes room for more shopping :) Happy WOYWW #122

great looking crafting space with some of my favorite products! I would never let my DH help pack my stuff or I would probably be 'encouraged' to unload some also. Hope you have a great week. Vickie #32

You and me both Charlie. I knocked my collection back to about 500 from over 400o because of space and insurance...they wouldn't give me new for old on them. I miss them!! You work neatly I must say, and I like the idea of punch soup!
