What’s on your workdesk Wednesday?

DSC01383

Well Not a lot crafting has happened on my desk this week! Mr.C and M have dumped stuff on it which i had to scoop off before taking this picture about 5mins ago its still so dark here!!

You can see my scrap box overflowing that i have been trying to use up for gift tags etc. while doing the Christmas presents.  My spanky new diary is out an open as i was trying to pencil in my classes for next year.  You can also see a pack of freebie felt pieces that i got free with a magazine they’re not my thing so M will be using them to make her Christmas card for her daddy this year Mr.C will be pleased he loves a card made by the girls.

So my plan for the day is to clear my desk properly so it will be functioning well for all the yummy new stash my hubby has brought for me during the Demo only pre order for the New SU Spring Mini Catalogue, He swiped the box away before i could have a proper look!!! Roll on Sunday!!

Just a quick note of thanks to all those who visit my blog and leave your lovely comments.  If you don’t pop back before the big day I hope that you have a lovely Christmas and a Fabby New Year. All the Best

Until next time

2011 was the year …..

Inspired from Bekka Prideaux’s Blog Feeling Crafty, this post is titled ‘2011 was the year…’

2011 was the year that;

Me and Mr.C got married on May 18th

My dreams of a beautiful Kitchen Aid mixer was realised when we received one as a wedding gift (and we have all put on a little weight! lol)

I finally convinced Mr.C to build me a new Craft space in our new home.

I was invited to a team training day in Peterbourgh held by Monica and Bekka.  I made lots of new friends and was introduced to the world of swaps.

I decided to take the plunge and overcome my techno fears to create a blog and post semi-regularly on it ;).  And take part in What’s on Your Work-desk Wednesdays?

After 3 years (!) of over thinking it, i finally signed up as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

My not so little any more M started Primary School

Joined the PTA and Organised a very successful Indulgence Evening.

Managed to finish and post all my Christmas cards out in time for last posting for the first time ever!

(this is on my to be scrap-booked list)

And much much more, as obviously little H has changed so much over the year learning to talk and walk and generally cause mischief!  M learnt to ride a bike this year.  Mr.C has bravely become a mature student and decided to start a History Degree i am so proud of him i not it is not in vogue but i really do love my Husband so much he is everything to me and he is the kindest most generous gentle man if a bit too tidy to live with a crafter!  He is also my best friend and is so supportive of everything that i do and provides for us perfectly and is the best Daddy i could ever want for my Daughters.

Mr.C supported and encouraged my decision to become a Demo for SU and because of him i get to indulge my passion for crafting while building a business in a field where i actually want to go out to work because it doesn’t feel like work and i have made honestly loads of friends.

If you fancy becoming a Demonstrator as a hobby or to supplement your own craft habit why not join my team of Inky Moo’s?? Email or Call me for an informal no pressure Chat.

So why not think about what you did this year and what you want to do next year??

Until Next time

Deck the Halls……….

That has to be one of my favourite Christmas Songs i love the ‘fa la la la la’ bit lol.  Today i thought u i would share my Christmas Cards with you as most people will have received them by now.

I went for a monotone scheme of Old Olive with a bit of Very Vanilla.  I have embossed a panel of Od Olive card stock with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder {can you tell it was still out on my desk! lol} Then a Top Note piece of Very Vanilla which i stamped the family decorating the Christmas tree image from the Welcome Christmas set again in Old Olive and inked round the edges in the same ink.  This was mounted on Dimensionals and decorated with rhinestones and pearls for the baubles.  The sentiment is from the same set again stamped in Old Olive with a fold of Old Olive satin ribbon behind and mounted on Dimensionals.  It was then all spritzed with Shimmer spray made with SU’s Champagne Shimmer Paint.

A gift for Georgia….

Afternoon my Mr.C and his Brother are currently watching tons of Football so i thought i would take the opportunity to share with you what i have been up to and schedule a few posts for later in the week when i am sure like most people i will be very busy!

So to a little gift box i have made in Rich Razzleberry using the Pillow Box die and the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.

DSC01382

I also used the Beautiful Butterflies Die to make the gift tag and a few Pearls to pretty it up.

Simple and very quick so perfect for wrapping Christmas Gifts, i cant tell you what’s inside in case Georgia sneaks a peak at my Blog before Christmas.

WOYWW Dec 14th 2011

Hello Wednesday! I am in a very good mood today as i have finished all my requests for Christmas cards and finished my own my tree is up and decorated and all presents {apart from those still on route to us via her Maj’s Mail service!} are wrapped and under the tree so today i can do what ever the fudge i want to! It is still dark outside in Saffron Walden this morning the weather is appalling so i cant wait for school to break up Friday so no more school runs for 2 whole weeks!

SO to the desk i have three photos today two of how it looked yesterday and last night and one of how it is this morning.

DSC01365

This is how i started the day at 9.45am {after school run, a food shop and breakfast}

DSC01362

This is my desk at  1.40 pm

DSC01370

And this is my desk this morning now that every thing has been finished off at last!  It is a very good deal that my friends and family buy the card stock or a particular stamp that they want me to use so i affectively get to craft for free but maybe next year i should get people thinking about their cards a bit earlier in the year?? lol.  I am sure i say that every year?!  In fact maybe i should write in my diary in June ‘Make Christmas Cards’ then at least mine would be done, but then I'd probably lose them in that magic place called ‘somewhere safe’ and have to do them again!!

I will post pictures of the cards i was working on soon

DSC01259

This was taken yesterday lunchtime i am mid finishing off some Christmas Cards for a Family friend, its a good deal i get to craft, she gets her nice Christmas Cards and she just pays me for the materials that i use, so basically i am crafting for free {and not having to store what I've made!}  I could lie and say that on the laptop was something intellectual but really it was East enders on the I player! lol

What’s on Your Work-desk Wednesday?

Hello i am getting my bum back in gear with my blogging and here is my work-desk this week.

DSC01205

Well it looks a shameful mess does it?! lol that is what happens when everyone in the house is poorly so projects get dumped mid way on the desk.  And this was taken after all the other things like school bags had been removed!!  As my Desk is just inside the door of the Living room people who shall remain nameless {Mr.C and M! lol} tend to come in and dump their stuff on my desk!!

So what is going on this week? Well the pile of cardstock in the centre is where i have been having a session of cutting card blanks as i have lots of Christmas cards to make for family and friends.  I love my little green bucket we had these on the tables at our wedding earlier in the year full of sweets it is perfect on my desk to be a bin, help me stay a little tidier.

Hello! I am Alive!

Hello i am alive, i am very sorry for the delay in my blogging, almost a month now unfortunately life got in the way.  The Camp household has been very poorly firstly it was me who was ill with tonsil-blooming-itis for the 1000th time!  Then it was the turn of the tinies, firstly little baby H has had horrible teething problems and then infection after infection and has lost lots of weight poor little thing, she still has an awful cough now.  And then M has got this awful cough too i have been assured by the doctors that there is tons going around and so it seems every little one has some sort of bug at the moment! O well that is the end of my griping, on to the good stuff.

So in early November i had a workshop at home with some of my ‘mummy’ friends to show them just what it was all this Stampin’ Up! malarkey is all about! lol  Now they’re not crafters {although i think i have one converted!} so i had to think of simple projects that still had the wow! factor here is what i came up with;

nov wrk shop

{photos clockwise from top; project packs all ready, our three projects, perfect plum bauble card, Tree Trimmings mini card, Robin Bookmark, the table all set up with thank you gifts}

We had lots of fun and everyone was really impressed with the results that they achieved with the simplest of steps to get there.

If you fancy having a workshop for you and your friends then just contact me.

What’s on your workdesk Wednesday

DSC01142

Nothing exciting really on my desk this week but a means to getting exciting things ~ let me explain, i have taken part in a card front swap over on ILWS and you can see my swap made here using the serene snowflakes stamp set in perfect plum and pretty in pink, but it does mean that i’ll receive nine gorgeous swaps in return which is fab!!

I love swapping i love seeing what other people do with our products as everyone has their own take on things although it does usually mean my ‘i NEED this’ list gets bigger! lol

On another note i would just like to say thank you to everyone who views my blog and another thank you to those that take the time to comment on posts.  I love reading the comments and it is so nice to see that i am not rambling away to myself here.  So thank you.

More Snowflakes

More snowflakes again today, i have had this card in my head for days but my stamp set only arrived on Wednesday so i didn’t have time to get in down on card till the weekend.
I randomly stamped a piece of Confetti White cardstock with snowflakes in Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede Inks.  i then cut it down and mounted the panel on to a 5” square blank of Crumb Cake, finishing off with some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding (also new this catty), the sentiment is from ‘Contempo Christmas’ in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Contemporary Christmas Colours

Hello All, today i have a Christmas card to share with you.

I have used the poinsettia stamp from the ‘Season of Joy’ stamp set {110384}

but not with the traditional red, i have stamped it in Baja Breeze ink and the swirls are Crumb Cake this is one of my favourite colour combos.  I think it gives such a lovely feel to Christmas projects still elegant but slightly different.  I have just discovered a gorgeous card stock from Stampin’ Up! called Confetti this is Confetti White but it also comes in cream and has a handmade quality about it with all these tiny flecks in the fibres.

Yay it’s finally finished!!

Hello again, i hope you are all well?  It’s all a bit hectic in the Camp household at the moment as i am helping to Organise a Fundraising event for M’s Primary School PTA, as well as everything else!

The Event is “A Night of Indulgence” a night of all our favourite indulgences such as pampering, shopping and CAKE!! lol It is on Friday October 21st at 7pm and if you are local to Saffron Walden and would like a ticket ping me an email.

Right enough of that and on to that the title.  Yay it’s finally finished!!! My craft space is done!!! WOO HOO!! doing a little happy dance.  My Space has been entirely built by Mr. C. my husband and myself and i am very proud of it.  So Settle down for my picture heavy walk through my little craft space.  You may have seen some of these photos before so i apologise but this is the story of my craft space in our new home, it has taken nearly 18months to get it done.

Are you sitting comfortably?  Then we shall begin;

So my craft space is only 110cm by 60cm so is very limited and so lots of thinking for the storage of all my lovely stash.  We started at the desk it needed to be solid so that when stamping the images would come out perfectly, and it needed to be durable.  So off we went to the local builder’s yard looking for an off cut and got an offcut of a solid wood fire door for only £9.00!! bargain would have cost us so much more if we had brought the equivalent in wood.

DSC00673

Then shelves were a must have of course. Mr. C hates putting up shelves apparently i am obsessed with storage so he has put up multiple shelves in every room since we’ve moved in.

DSC00672

Then i need a comfy chair and a notice board, as you can see in the picture above i just had one of the spare chairs from our dining table.  So i quickly swapped that for one of the Carver chairs from the dining table and a trip to the Haberdasher’s and a satisfying session with a staple gun and this is what i came up with;

DSC00713

DSC00715

A few months passed and as i worked i tweaked the space a little and added bits Mr. C created storage for me.  And so now its finished, here it is;

DSC01051

As you can see i have padded the arms of my chair as well as sewing a little cushion to tie to the back to make it that bit more comfortable.  I also made a little footstall to rest my feet on (as my feet don’t reach the floor! lol!) it was made with a scrap lump of oak wrapped and padded a small piece of MDF with a few wooden drawer knobs as feet I’m quite proud of it.

DSC01056

Mr. C made me this little hutch to store my ink pads yesterday out of scrap bits of MDF he had hanging around his workshop its all been painted with cream paint and finished with boat varnish so it is extra durable as is every wooden surface in my craft space.   The little shelves that you can see in the top corner are my little project display area and i have covered the bottom shelf with black card so that i can use it for taking photographs as there is a lamp above this.

DSC01058

Here is a close up of the finished ‘no pin’ notice board that i made the buttons in between the ribbon crosses are all vintage and salvaged (cadged! lol) from my Nan’s button box.  Right in the centre is a button from my Uncle’s Fireman’s uniform with the Essex forces crest on it.

And of course i needed a space just to store my Big Shot, but i also wanted to be able to use my die cutter whilst it was in the storage solution.  So Mr. C set to work again in his workshop and knocked up this little cabinet on wheels that i can pull in and out when i want to use it.  I brought the baskets and my clever hubby created it to fit.  My dies and punches are stored in these baskets.

DSC01055

I cant believe how much i have crammed into such a small space so you don’t necessarily need vast spaces to find a little creative haven.

And here is what is on my Work desk today;

DSC01064

Not a lot!! lol It is very tidy which Mr. C will tell you is very unusual! and here is the reason for the jiggle in my belly – a cuppa and 3 (!) biscuits!! lol

If you are still reading thank you for sticking with it, i will be back very soon with a new project.

DSC00998

This time a Pillow Box {113466} made in Very Vanilla, i stamped the flower head in Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive using the Classic Stampin’ Spots.  The sentiment was stamped from the same set in Rich Razzleberry and edged with basic rhinestones.  I knotted a length of Old Olive Ribbon to finish.

Christmas Favour..

Morning all, Hope you are well?

Today i have a little Christmas table favour to share with you made using the Pillow Box Die {113466 £16.95} with the Big Shot

DSC00997

Made in Old Olive card stock, i quickly wheeled the Music Notes Wheel {120327} across the pillow box in Old Olive ink assembled it with Tombow adhesive stamped the Merry Christmas from the Season of Joy {110384} stamp set and run a line on basic rhinestones to add a bit of sparkle.  To finish i tied a little knot of Old Olive Satin Ribbon which is gorgeous and luxurious i love stroking it!

Quick and simple to mass produce for all the guests at Christmas i even think it would be nice on the tree filled with sweets.

Dashing Dasher…

Hello! hope every one is well, just a quick one from me today using the gorgeous Dasher Stamp.

Dasher {116816} is in the a la carte section of the Idea Book and Catalogue where you can buy single stamps, and Dasher only costs £7.95 so is a complete bargain seeing as how completely gorgeous he is! I am planning on using him on lots of projects because his antler just cry out for bling!

So today i have a project which can solve the problem of the ugly gift cards you now get in stores.  Using the Scallop Envelope Die {113462 £18.95} which is exclusive to Stampin’ Up! to make a tiny purse in Crumb Cake card stock.

DSC00996

I have stamped with my Music Notes Wheel {120327 £6.50} in Crumb Cake ink before stamping Dasher in Rich Razzleberry ink.  Of course i blinged-up his antlers with a couple of Basic Rhinestones then punched a little handle with the Word Window Punch and tied a little piece of Crumb Cake Seam Binding to close.

The little purses would be great filled with chocolate on any festive party tables and so quick to make.  If you would like any products used to produce this project then please contact me craftylittlemoo@hotmail.co.uk

I am Alive!!

Hello everyone, i am still alive so sorry for my lack of posts lately i have been a useless blogger!  It has been a busy time in the Camp household as our eldest M. started ‘big school’ this week so there has been lots of preparations to do.

I have also tackled the black hole casually known as under our bed!! So after sorting all that i now have a ton of stuff to put on that well known auction site one of the worst jobs on my to do list!  But i also have lots of space to store my Lace pillows so i may even finish off a piece, i have two pieces on the go at the moment that were started long before little H was even born!

So anyways enough of that, here is a Christmas card for you, made using the Top Note die for the Big Shot to make an easel card.

DSC00995

Crumb Cake base, with a half layer of Very Vanilla that has the Music Notes wheel off stamped in Crumb Cake ink with Dasher over stamped in Crumb Cake Ink finished of with Crumb Cake Seam Binding.  The sentiment is from Heard From The Heart Stamp Set.  I have edged everything with Crumb Cake Ink to give it that Vintage feel.

Birthday Card for Maggs;

Hello all, i am so sorry for the lack of posting lately, it’s school holidays here and its manic my eldest M, doesn’t seem to be able to be entertained by something for more than 5mins at a time so that’s my inky time out of the window!

Well this weekend it was Mr.C’s Aunt’s birthday, and not only being his Aunt Maggs is also a very dear friend of mine, so with out fail i had to make her a card.

I used the gorgeous Level One Hostess set Because I Care because i love the Hydrangea Head.

I stamped the Perfect Plum Base all over with the flower head in Perfect Plum Ink, and did the same on the Crumb Cake Top Note layer with Crumb Cake InkDSC00971

I then stamped the flower head image in Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery Ink using my Classic Stampin Spots on a Whisper White Top Note.  The sentiment is from the Level Two Hostess Set Something to Celebrate, from the Mini Catalogue.  All trimmed with the gorgeously tactile Crumb Cake Seam Binding.  I am happy to say that that Maggs loved the card, she’d already had her birthday present back in July when we went to see Take That at Wembley together.

All products used are Stampin’ Up! and are Available to order from me;

just send me an email.

There are still some spaces available in this months paper crafting classes give me a call to book your place on 07583 371 239

Time for a Change.....

As regular visitors may have noticed i have made a few changes to the 'look' of my blog.  If you popped by this morning you may have seen it in the many phases as i tried out litterally hundreds of different themes in my quest for the perfect one.

I have learnt how to customise the Header today fro a great tutorial on the blog template website, a great acheivement for a technophobe like me.
I have also added a page for my upcomming classes, with more pages to follow soon.

I do hope that you like my new look and i appriciate any feedback you may want to give me.

Until next time

A Little Excitement to Share!

Hello all i hope you are well?  I have some exciting news to share with you all, I am now an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  Some of you may know that i had planned to become a Demonstrator many years ago when Stampin’ Up! first hit our shores but life kept getting in the way (moving house, second baby, and a wedding) but finally i am a Demonstrator!
My gorgeous starter kit arrived on Monday and i have been playing with it non stop since!  I changed my stamps to Christmas themed sets as i wanted to get a jump on my cards this year, rather than rushing them the day before the last post!
Here is a picture of all that a starter kit contains, there was so much it covered our king-size bed!
DSC00922DSC00923
All those gorgeous goodies for only £119 with a value of over £230!!
So what does it mean now i am a Demonstrator?  Well….. i will now be running classes on a regular basis and i am also available to organise workshops and mini classes in your home or craft club or group.  The craft group i organise in Saffron Walden will still continue as normal and hopefully it will expand and grow to include a monthly scrapbook crop in the future.  I can also supply you with a Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalogue (rrp £5.95), and take your orders for you no matter where you live within the UK.
I am busy planning my first class to be held on Saturday September 3rd 2011 at my home (address upon booking) which will be an Introduction to Stampin’ we will be making 3 projects showing the different types of stamps that Stampin’ Up! make, wood mounted, wheel stamps and clear mount stamps.  The projects will be Christmas Themed and i shall post a sneak peak in a few days time, with full details.

If you think that becoming a demonstrator would be a perfect career move for you or you just want to get your hands on the great value starter kit then contact me for more details and a no obligation chat: craftylittlemoo@hotmail.co.uk

Thank you……

Hello!  How are you all today?  Good i hope?

Last week we was invited to dinner at Mr.C’s Nan’s house well we couldn’t go round empty handed so i rustled up a quick card;

DSC00901

I used my new Scallop Circle die for the Big Shot, and Springtime Vintage DSP with Rose Red Seam Binding and Button.  The base card was made of Crumb Cake card stock and i smudged ink all round the edges of the scallops with Crumb Cake ink and a Sponge Dauber.  To finish i added a buckle from the hodgepodge Hardware set and three tiny rhinestones (can you tell what’s been left out on my desk this week?! lol)

I think when i make a Scallop Circle easel card again i will put the button further back to hold the card front more upright.  Of course now the bottle we was taking with us looked rather bare so i prettied that up too!

DSC00905DSC00906

i didn’t even measure and cut these bits it was all made of scraps on my desk i just sort of threw them together!  The scallop circle is out of my daughters stash of punches as i don’t have a scallop circle punch yet (its on my list) and the sentiment is from the Wedding Sweet stamp set.  I love this stamp set, i used it for my wedding invitations but i have also used it for so much more as it is so versatile.

However when i got to Mr.C’s Nan’s House i realised i had used the same DSP as the card i had made her earlier in the week!! But at least she didn’t mind she loves to receive cards, which is one of the reasons i love card making.  Something so simple can really brighten up someone's day.

Just a Little Note….

Hello again, hope you are having a good week thanks for joining me again today, today i plan to have a lazy day in my PJ’s and hopefully I'll get inky a bit later, as on Saturday we swapped wardrobes with the children’s and changed their room around, so i am in need of a rest!

Today the project i am sharing with you is small, i often get asked by my regular customers for note paper for thank you’s so i thought i would use the Top Note and Scallop Envelope dies (SU exclusive) for the Big Shot to make a small set;

 DSC00911

They may be small but they are the perfect size for saying thank you or if you’re my eldest daughter they’re prefect for playing ‘Postman Pat’!  The images are from the Baby Blossom stamp set the flower heads were stamped 3 times once each in Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, and finally in Rose Red inks and the stems were stamped in Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi inks, all from my Subtles Classic Stampin’ Spots set.

I hope you like them

Until next time

A Parliament of Owls

Did you know that a group of owls was called a parliament?!?  I didn’t either until i googled it! lol
But, here is a parliament of owls that i have created this week using the two step owl punch from Stampin’ Up!  I always keep my owl punch on my desk and when i have a scrap of DSP that is big enough to cut a chest piece out, i do it there and then and file it away for next time that i want to make an owl, otherwise my offcuts build up and never get used.
So here they are;
DSC00912
They are very simple and easy to make i do think they need a sentiment but i don’t have one that is perfect yet so i am leaving the sentiment blank until i do. All made using scraps of card and DSP mounted onto a 4”x4” Whisper White square card blank and finished with a knotted length of Baja Breeze Seam Binding and a little rhinestone on the hearts on their chests.
Hope you like them
Until next time

Pretty Little Flutterby.

Morning All, hope you are all well?  So today my project to share is something you have probably seen on lots of other blogs but i just fancied making one to look pretty on my desk space.

DSC00914

A simple butterfly easel card made using the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies die which i believe is exclusive to Stampin’ Up!

I used Very Vanilla cardstock for the base and the top smaller butterfly, and a small piece of Springtime Vintage DSP.  To make the wings stand away from the vanilla base i used half a dimensional just near the centre which i had secured with tombow.  And just because i seem to be addicted to them at the moment a small strip of rhinestones down the body of the smaller butterfly.

Until next time

My Little Bit of Lovely……….

So here is the promised bit of lovely.  I got my Scallop Circle Die for my Big Shot the other day and now i was feeling a little better i knew exactly what i wanted to have a go at making.  In Maths classes at school we had made models using circles and i wanted to recreate one (i was thinking Christmas Decorations) i could sort of remember the basics so i had a few plays about with it and finally cracked it.
Here it is;
DSC00881
I think its lovely, but then i am biased! lol
DSC00880
Now it looks complicated but once i had got the hang of it and made myself a template i flew through making one in DSP.
I am planning to make some for my Christmas Decorations, but i think this one would be perfect for a Baby Shower.
Hope you like it
Until next time

Springtime Vintage……….. Part Three

Good Morning All, Hope you are all well? My Mother in Law is coming to help with the children today so that i can have a slightly more restful day as i have had them on my own since Monday and i am not quite recovered yet so i am in need of a rest!  Why is it that in the summer holidays little people seem to be almost exploding with extra energy!?!?
Hopefully while she takes them down the park i can have a short interruption free inky time. :) my craft space is in what is basically a corridor so my chair is in the way if you want to go anywhere so i am always jumping up to let people past, so while they are out i shall be able to sit for the entire tie it takes me to finish a project!
Any way on to today’s project, here it is;
DSC00866
This little card is again on a Baja Breeze 4’’x4’’ blank that i cut myself, i have used two different sheets from the Springtime Vintage DSP the main layer that is folded back on itself has a pink stripped alternate side so i used a small scrap of another to cover up the folded corner so that it wasn't pink! i then added another small scrap of DSP this time the white floral print, peeking out, the corner was secured with a brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware set as is the frame surrounding the ‘thanks’ sentiment which is from the Trendy Trees Stamp set which was partially inked with Early Espresso.  The card was then finished with Baja Seam Binding, can you tell that Baja was out on my desk this week?? lol I have used a lot of it!
Here is another two photos of the trio all together.
DSC00867
DSC00868
I am thinking of giving these as a gift set together.
Until next time
