Do you like Smoothies?

Good Morning Dear Reader; hope you had a great weekend? I did i managed to walk my girls down to Costa’s for a cheeky babychino on Saturday and then yesterday i crafted all day with my lovely friend and fellow demo Sue.

What i have to share with you today is a simple and FREE solution to a storage problem all us lovers of Framelit dies have…

I don’t know about you but mine constantly pop off the card packet; so when my girls had some smoothies this month i noticed that they come with free magnets so i brought them a pack of ‘proper’ alphabet magnets and swiped all the ones from their smoothies to hold my Framelits.

2013-10-06

I stuck the magnets face down on to some card and popped my framelits on top they hold them in place great for when I'm taking them in and out of their folders.

I hope this helps someone out for a storage idea; there will be a lot of children having their 5 a day topped up with smoothies while this offer is on! :D

Until next time

Life after the Party. . . . .

Hello Dear Reader; sorry about my tardy return Blogger decided that it didn’t want to post my scheduled posts and when i realised it wouldn’t let me in to sort it out! Hopefully it will be business as usual from now on.

Now i have done loads of crafting over the last few weeks; so you may get a few extra posts than the Sunday posts so that i can share all my projects with you. I have been helping my friend Sue prepare her samples for her stand at the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show at Biggin Hill which is on September 1st so there are some bits i can’t share just yet but if you want to see them in the flesh get yourselves to her Stampin’ Up! stand :)

So in my last post i said that i have re-used the party decorations from H’s birthday party to give them another life. . . .

craftylittlemoos.blogspot.com
Created by Charlie-Louise Camp
Images Stampin' Up! © 2013

Well i deconstructed them from their sticks and blue tack-ed them to the wall in a nice arrangement near my desk to pretty up a plain wall. It took minutes but i think it looks nice and it meant i didn’t have to chuck them or find a place to store them and this way i still get to look at them.

woyww? March 26th 2013

Good morning Dear Reader and all woyww’ers; do you still have snow?! Some one needs to remind Mother Nature that we would like some Spring please!! The snow is finally starting to melt here but apparently we have more to come at the end of the week…….Joy! O well i can’t control the weather but i can craft and i plan to make my own version of spring this week by making lots of springy {is that a word?!} projects.

But for now here is my desk as it ends Tuesday; it will see no action apart from a tidy up as we have family over today.

woyww workspace craft area Check it out at craftylittlemoos.blogspot.com Created by Charlie-Louise Camp Images Stampin' Up! © 2013 24-03-2013 09-03-45

Practically the same as it was last week but with a load of Stampin’ Up! party invites and what not's dumped on top as i decided to spring clean all weekend starting with our bedroom where i found i had loads of craft bits that had somehow got up there so they needed to come back down to the craft area. I drove Mr.C potty as always when i get bit by the tidy bug as i am normally the poster girl for organised chaos, but when get the urge to purge the clutter i go all out but i also have a habit of not finishing each room before starting another! lol so once he had pulled me up on that and we’d finished the upstairs before starting on my craft area i managed to set myself up a cutting and big-shotting or should that be shooting(?) area. The new computer desk means that the girls craft stuff has vacated my sideboard so i have organised it much better.

So i now have my big shot all ready to go with my punches next to it, i have my trimmer, guillotine, and scoreboard in one drawer and all my dies and embossing folders in the other, its the perfect height for cutting and die cutting and if i lift my big shot away the lamp makes for a perfect place for taking my blog photos.

Well that's my workspace for this week i shall go and tidy my main desk area before the school run so that i am free to hop round blogs until my grandparents arrive for lunch; i hope to get round as many as possible but at the very least to every one who visits me.

Until Next time

woyww? March 19th 2013

Hello Dear Reader; today is Wednesday {well 5pm Tuesday night but my desk won’t change between now and then :) } so that is when crafters from across the globe bare all and show their desks in varying degrees of the creative process. If you would like to know more hop along to the queen of this massive blog hop Julia at the Stamping Ground, but do join if you can its is great fun and highly addictive.

woyww march 20th craftylittlemoos.blogspot.com Created by Charlie-Louise Camp Images Stampin' Up! © 2013 18-03-2013 18-58-04

So here is my now two desks as due to the computer issue we have had to have a desktop and so that meant a new desk so in this picture you can see both. I am currently sitting typing at the computer under the stairs which is actually a desk from my old room at my grandparents house and do you know that now that the computer is in another room i am actually getting more work done as i don't keep getting distracted by pinterest!!
Not a lot on my desk at the moment a few stamp sets as Mr.C had me stamp a wooden box for him to keep all his seeds in that also looked nice on the shelf as the shed would be too cold and damp a place for the seeds (?! so he says i don’t know!) i plan to have a big tidy up as i did a craft fair at the weekend and the boxes are not unpacked yet and then i can get on with preparing for my next events. Also its craft night at mine again today so i shall have to be tidy so that we can all have somewhere to sit down! :D If you would like to see the results of my suitcase boot fair find you can find it on yesterdays post.

I am planning to hop around to as many desks as i can today.

Until next time

woyww? February 27th 2013

Hello Dear Reader and woyww’ers can you believe that it is already nearly the end of February already!?! I know i can’t; this year is flying by. I have been very busy this week getting things ready for a Spring Fair that is coming up in March.

DSC00395

Lots of chocolate to fill lots of treats with and the mini milk cartons that i had been making the other week are now finished and here they are;
happy easter mini milk cartons birds of a feather dsp craftylittlemoos.blogspot.com Created by Charlie-Louise Camp Images Stampin' Up! © 2013All finished and full to the brim of chocolate eggs! :)

So for the rest of the day i shall be cracking on with more Easter baskets. Me and Mr.C did a boot sale at the weekend to clear some of the junk we seemed to have accumulated and after clearing lots of the junk and ending up in good profit i relieved the man on the next pitch of a vintage steamer trunk that i have good ideas for and visions of it becoming a display piece for my wares, i will share with you once it is done.

It’s craft group tonight at mine, so i had best get on so i can get cleared up for all the ladies to come too i love how social crafting can be.

WOYWW? September 12th {a change}

Morning All, hope you are all well, this will be a picture heavy post as i have as the title suggests had a bit of a change so the first photo will be my desk last thing at night – nothing will have changed since then as i have only been up a little while! lol And then i will show you my re organisation and the change of look in my craft area for those that wanna stick around :)

DSC02574

So this is what is on my desk at the moment; the start of my convention swaps turned over so as not to spoil the surprise for the recipients, a gift from my friend and upline Bekka, a few new stamps, and a couple of stray hair clips.

SO the last few weeks i have posted pictures of my huge pile of mess; well this week i tidied it all up, and i mean ALL i pulled everything off the shelves and sorted through it all before putting it away i also reclaimed a dresser from the children’s craft stuff to put all mine away out of sight.

DSC02510DSC02512DSC02511DSC02514DSC02513

So now that it was tidy i was thinking i don’t really like the fabric on my chair and footstool anymore and in our new house we have a different colour scheme so it was time for a change so off i popped to the local had dash and an afternoon and evenings work with the staple gun and hammer later here we are;

DSC02515DSC02561

                Before                              After

DSC02566

This time i went for a nice mocha brown with a silvery tree pattern on which toned in well with our creams and browns in the living room.

Here are the rest of the shots of the chair, footstool {that Mr.C made a while ago} and a new notice board to match.

DSC02565DSC02569DSC02573DSC02533

if you are still with me thank you for looking what do you think of the change?

Until next time

My Craft Space

hello all, i hope you have been enjoying the nice weather it is very hot here especially at night which is not helpful for sleep so i have two very grumpy girls today who unbeknown to them will be having a sleep after lunch. I am now posting to you from a sun lounger in the garden in a pair of cut offs that i just created from a pair of jeans that a lovely friend told me was doing me no favours! lol – happy days.

As some of you are aware i often take part in a massive global blog hop on Wednesdays where we all snoop at each others workspaces, well i have had a few emails asking how i store so much in a small space. Well the answer to that is i don’t! lol I do have a small space in the dining end of our living room but i store a lot of stuff under our bed such as stamps i very rarely use but cant bare to part with, and display pieces that i have made for craft fairs etc.

Before we moved at the start of the year my desk was in the walkway of the living room and was only 110cm x60 to get it to fit the space it is in now i has to lose 20cm of that length so it is now less than a metre!!

This will be a picture heavy post so grab yourself a cuppa and i shall begin;

DSC02374This is the view from the door way of the living room. This is my computer area, i have my printer and laptop here, all on top the bottom half of a Welsh dresser that i brought for £10 on a local Facebook selling page. Luckily the seller was my friend and they have promised me they will find the top half for me, i had planned for this to go in my craft room once it has been built but Mr.C has nabbed it and filled it with the girls craft stuff.

As you can see this is next to my ‘overflow’ desk also known as a dining table!

DSC02371

Above i have two shelves;

On the top shelf i have a Large box filled with my 12x12 paper and the scraps from DSPs.

The middle box is full of my cardstock scraps – quite recently i was very ruthless with is box so if i was two small to be made into a card blank i either punched a shape out of it of threw it in the bin!

Above that are 3 A4 placky boxes that contain bits that i have been working on and not finished yet or just bits that need to be put back in their homes. One of the boxes has all my Christmas samples in an effort to kick start my Christmas crafting {hasn’t happened yet but i live in hope!}

Then the last pile of boxes in the white box i have my cardstock and DSP samples so that i can show customers at workshops

DSC02372On the Bottom shelf i have my photo album of craft related photos from training days and projects I've made

Next to that is my swap box this contains all my swaps from the last event i attended and when i go to the next event this is what i take my swaps in. On top of that is my prettied up cash tin. And in the not so pretty Xerox box is my punch soup boxes – this so needs a prettier DSC02373home but i just cant find anything i like at the mo., we have a fab stall on our weekly market that sells vintage stuff so i know where I'm getting it from just got to wait for the perfect thing to arrive as she usually only has one of each item.

Next to my printer i keep my catty box including past catalogues for SU and my lovely pink i pod it is a 1st generation i pod mini and i just cant give it up and replace it cos its pink and has been with me all through college and growing up and still works i got it when i worked in an electrical store, when they first launched and you couldn't get them anywhere that Christmas for love nor money.

Right to the other side of the room where i actually do the creating :)

DSC02379

So this is my desk it is made from a fire door blank that i picked up in the off cuts section at our local builders merchants, as it is a fire door it is incredibly solid and fab for stamping on as there is no ‘bounce’ it has been sealed with yacht varnish so is super durable my hubby paints every bit of wood in my area with this.

The cream cubby holds my inkpads and punches and has a salvaged slate top where my lamp, clock and other necessities live.

DSC02383

In the wicker basket that i got from Jacqui on the market for only £4! lives my pretty pen pot that Mr C brought me which was his way of telling me he was building me a desk last year in our old place after a year with out one! The basket houses pens, my lesser used tools such as massive scissors, inky sponges, some left over card blanks i hadn't used yet and clear blocks.

DSC02384

My current notice board is on here also at the mo. made with SU twitterpated fabric and lush pre-pleated ribbon it will live here for a little while till i send it to someone as a gift and make myself a new one.

DSC02380

Two shelves again here top one has another lamp my 12x12 cardstock, two files of A4 cardstock, my wheel stamps and stamp sets that are retired and i just don’t want to part with. I have also put my Christmas ones on this shelf so that they’re all together.

Next shelf i have my Envelopes {need to order more lol} in front of that are the watercolour wonder crayons and my stash of tombow glue i have about 5 bottles atm 2 open i cant bare not to have some in in case i run out! Then my brads and buttons, some stampin’ spots then current stamp sets and my case of markers which house all the colours that SU make i use these more than my inkpads now so worth the investment.

DSC02376

This is my rolling Big shot cabinet that Mr.C made it also has a salvaged slate top. As you can see my dies are on the shelf, my big bite in the side compartment and the white basket is where my ribbons live at the moment.

DSC02378

And this is my crafting chair i actually have two of these but one is stored for now, i have plans to re-upholster it again as i am off red but i just cant seem to find a fabric i love – any suggestions?? it just needs to go with creams and coffee colours as it is in the living room.

So that is my craft space for now, this is where i will be moving too in the hopefully not so distant future

DSC02186

If you are still reading thanks for sticking with me i told you it was picture heavy! lol

Until next time

WOYWW? April 25th 2012

Morning World just a quick post from me today as have tons of blogging to catch up on it seems my blog block is over and i can do it again lol so pop back later for some of my ramblings on punch soup. :)

DSC01849

DSC01848

Not a lot going on really had a massive scrapbooking sesh on Saturday and Sunday i was in the zone did 4 12x12 layouts and 6 double page 6x6 ones

The union jack layout was designed by Monica Gale for our last team training in April. New photo of my little girls up on the wall and new baby scrapbook for little H started on Saturday {finally as she’s nearly two!} Mr.C had obviously only just emptied my pop up bin as i always fold it down and he leaves it plonked in middle of desk. Have a few punches to put away from a morning stamp sesh with my lovely friend Natalie, who i have recently got hooked on SU and all things craft ;) The Kilner jar has just been emptied of popcorn kernals so now can be repurposed for storing my great nans button collection which passed to me when she sadly left us in January.

WOYWW?? April 18th 2012

Morning all!! It is very windy and rainy here in Saffron Walden i am already toying with the idea of lighting the fire and its not even 8 am!!

DSC01799

So here is my desk this morning bit messy the ice cube tray holds some of my ‘punch soup’ I'll tell you more about that another day, then there are the very pretty SU You are loved stamp set that i am using lots atm as it retires at the end of the month and i want to use it as its so pretty. My phone and purse seem to have ended up resting there as i was putting an order for more stash in last night for me and my newly addicted friend Natalie :) and then my note book and diary hopefully there’ll be more crafting happening later. By this time last Friday i had made 25 cards o the benefit of Easter holidays and having no school run :)

DSC01800

Some people asked last week where i keep my stamps? Well here they are up on a shelf above my desk (although i do have a box of retired SU stamps that i love under my desk) this is a vey tiny collection compared to what i had before my little H was born. I used to have a walk in cupboard that many people had tried to convince me to change into a downstairs loo, full of stamps, when we moved Mr.C decided to start counting as we packed up and he gave up at 4000 with 3 boxes full still to go!! I have since sold all of them as they were sitting unloved for the best part of a year although i couldn’t bear to part with my Penny Black collection i had started at the age of 8!! so they’re packed safely away under my bed i might give them an airing soon team them up with some of my SU card stock and Markers.

Happy WOYWW

Hello! Not much on my desk this week partly cos we had a massive change around in the living room yesterday, so my desk is uber tidy today not powered up yet and 10cm missing off the desk to make it fit, but at least we have masses more space now in the rest of the room

DSC01754

DSC01753DSC01755

So here it is in situ on the other side of the room all tidy and organised for now, it will be messed up later as i have a friend coming over for a play date as we are both child free today {well me mostly i still have the littlest one but she’s easy}

WOYWW? 28-March-2012

What’s on my workdesk……………Nothing! lol

DSC01720

This is truly how my workdesk is, i have finished prep-ing for tonight’s ‘Cupcakes’ Class and i have been a good girl and tidied up straight away as i will need my desk to lay out the project packs tonight.

As you can see still not taken a photo of the girls for my layout yet! lol A few people asked what classes i taught last week, well i teach paper craft classes usually a card or two a scrapbook page and a 3D item, so a bit of everything. I have 6 ladies coming tonight who are fairly new to crafting and we will be using the SU create a cupcake stamp set and the matching cupcake builder punch.

WOYWW?? March 14th 2012

Hello WOYWW-ers and all that follow, thank you Ms Dunnit for my WOYWW badge that i received last week a little bit of happy post.

So to the desk this week, a medley of shots today just to mix it up a bit

DSC01645

The ‘from across the room shot’

DSC01644

The ‘Full Frontal’

DSC01649

And ‘the standing on tippy toes shot!’

So…… i have finally cleared the mess i made and i can even fit the laptop back on the desk! On the opposite side of the desk is a Xerox box lid which is my ‘in progress’ box at the moment. These are incomplete projects from training days, possible projects for classes and just things i am generally playing with. In the middle on my grid paper is a small mountain of paper that emerged when i decided enough was enough with my craft magazines and i decided to only keep the pages i liked or had something pretty on…………….. now i need to find something to do with these! lol o well. On top of my cubby are some stamped bunny images from the SU ‘Everybunny’ set i have been playing with colours for them i maybe happy with them by Easter 2013!

And you may even be able to spot my WOYWW badge in the pictures :)

Just a quick not of thanks to all that view and comment, thank you so much really cheers me up and proves to Mr.C that i am not just talking to myself.

Thanks again

Until Next time

WOYWW?? ..Leap Year! 29-Feb-2012

Morning all i am back in the swing of posting now but my desk is shamefully untidy today so perfect for a good WOYWW nose about! Silver linings and all that! lol!

DSC01614

So a lot of mess, you may say pretty layout but not much room to craft.  No there isn’t so ……… I’ve spread ……….. onto the dining table much to the disgust of Mr.C as i left my mess over night {cardinal sin in this house!}

DSC01612DSC01613

I was prepping a class last night that i am taking to my dear friends house tonight who has unfortunately been unwell lately so if she can’t come to the party we’ll come to her!!

I made myself too many choices thou as i was on a roll lol so the selection needs to be pared down and the project pack got ready so wish me luck for a busy morning. THEN i’ll have to tidy up to save Mr.C’s sanity! lol
