So a lot of mess, you may say pretty layout but not much room to craft.  No there isn’t so ……… I’ve spread ……….. onto the dining table much to the disgust of Mr.C as i left my mess over night {cardinal sin in this house!}

I was prepping a class last night that i am taking to my dear friends house tonight who has unfortunately been unwell lately so if she can’t come to the party we’ll come to her!!

I made myself too many choices thou as i was on a roll lol so the selection needs to be pared down and the project pack got ready so wish me luck for a busy morning. THEN i’ll have to tidy up to save Mr.C’s sanity! lol

Spring Mini Blog Hop!

Hello thank you for joining me today if you are expecting my usual workdesk Wednesday pic pop back later and I'll have loaded that up too.

First today i am taking part in a Blog Hop organised on ILWS forum to celebrate the fact that we have an EXTRA Mini Catalogue this year so not only do we have all the gorgeous lovely's that this brand new catalogue launched today brings we also have another one to look forward to later in the year also!! How fab is that??!!

Well you may ask what is a Blog Hop?? We all get to together and link our posts in a big circle of inspiration and loveliness, so pull up a chair settle your self with a drink and enjoy.

For those that have joined me from Laura HELLO!! and if you would like to start from the first post you can find it at Alison’s Blog.  Right on to my project.

My project today uses a brand new Stamp set and co-coordinating Punch so nice and quick as the punch does all the cutting out for you.  {lazy moi?}

DSC01504

I made these cake picks for my famous triple chocolate filled muffins that my friends request for every visit and birthday i had my two best friends over this week so i thought i would pretty up our cakes with these simple picks.

I used another new punch the 2-3/8” (6cm) Scallop punch to punch the base out of pink pirouette DSP from the Subtles Stack one for each side of the cocktail stick.  I then stamped the cupcake frostings from the Create a Cupcake Stamp Set in rose red with perfect plum sprinkles, and then stamped a cupcake case in crumb cake with a perfect plum ribbon.  Both were then punched out with the Cupcake Builder Punch and mounted on to the Scallop Circles, i finished off the picks with a tail of pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon.

I hope you like my project and will continue with the Blog Hop the next blog on your stop is Sara and if you would like a full list of the participating blogs then head back to Alison Enjoy your hop i am off to hop round everyone else’s blogs now

Christmas in July …… Part Two.

Hello! Good Morning i am hoping that today it rains less than it did yesterday as it’s Milli’s Friends’ 4th Birthday today and is having a birthday party today so finger’s crossed it won’t be rained off!  (This is a scheduled post so i have no idea what the weather is doing i am just giving this scheduling lark a go! lol)

So down to business and Part two of the Peterborough Christmas in July Training day.

So at these training days we swap the swaps that we made for about 40 swaps that the other attendants have made.  This has to be one of my favourite bits of the training days as it often makes me look again at a stamp set that i have overlooked in the past.  Often adding to my wish list much to the dismay of Mr.C who already thinks i have too many stamp sets! lol Although i have a lot less than when we first met, as back then i have over 1000 before Mr.C gave up counting with two more boxes full left to count!!!  But as i am changing over to all SU i have slowly sold them all off and now only have a tiny amount, its like being a brand new crafter!  And i do feel that i have been revitalised!  However i digress! lol

So here are some photos of the fantastic swaps that i received in return for the ones that i made.

Firstly a traditional red and green coloured selection, a more modern colour selection of blue tones;

Cor! My desk looks messy in these photos, i promise it is tidy sometimes lol Mr.C is VERY tidy so i have to clear up after myself each night otherwise he gets twitchy and i just no he is dying to go tidy it up!

I love to look at all the swaps and will often get them out to have a look when i am having a crafting block.  I keep them all in a box together on the shelves above my desk so that they are close at hand but i do want to put them safely into scrapbooks at some point.  Another task to add to my list, along with finishing a piece of lace i started long before little H was even conceived!

Another Fantastic Benefit of attending these days is that there is an inspiration area manned by lovely Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators.  Lots of gorgeous projects are on display all on the same theme to which we are working to which this time is of course Christmas.

Here are a few photo’s from the booths one was manned by Marissa other by Ann (i think! i am terrible with names so sorry please correct me if i am wrong)

So i have a lovely album of photos to flick through now to draw on for inspiration.  I feel so lucky that i am allowed to take part in these events and that everyone is so welcoming even though i am not officially part of the team (yet! watch this space he he!) So thank you very much Monica and Bekka and all the team for being so welcoming and lovely.

And of course thank you to Caroline for introducing me into the Fantastic team that she is part of.

Until next time

Inspiration Struck.........

Me again! lol three posts in one day!
Well tonight inspiration struck me in the strangest of places...........On the LOO! Yes you did read that right inspiration struck me in the bathroom. This may explain why;
This was the toilet paper that i saw and i just wanted to make a card just like it. lol It is new Andrex Limited Collection Bright and Bold toilet tissue and i brought it for a nice change just because it was pretty (Mr.C. thinks i am loopy but hey!)  I came running in and had to try to recreate this some how on a card. Here is my attempt;

I like it but i think that the hot pink butterfly in the bottom corner should be the same shade as the top middle butterfly. All of the inks used are from the Stampin' Up! Subtles Collection on a basic white card blank available at all craft stores these are from WH Smiths.

I have since googled this loo paper whilst trying to check the correct name to type on here and found that this bright collection is designed by no other than Mr Flouncy Hair and Flowery Shirts Laurence Llewelyn Bowen!  I love Laurence as a designer, if you ignore all the Changing Rooms MDF rubbish that they used to do.  I watched His and His Family's reality show as they renovated their new country home and it was to die for especially the bedroom wallpaper that he designed just for his gorgeous wife Jackie. My lottery win dream craft room would so have to be decorated by Laurence!  i hope he likes my little 'knock off' of his designer loo paper lol!

So that truly is it from me tonight, i am thinking i may try the trick M does the night before Christmas and see if going to bed early makes the presents come any quicker! lol
