Stippled Blossom Birthday Card

Morning Dear Reader, hope that you are well? Long time no type, but I am back and in the swing of blogging, so lets get started.

Today i am sharing with you a birthday card that i made recently for a card swap that i hosted.

stippled blossom birthday

I stepped completely out of my comfort zone and used yellow tones! I am not a lover of yellow but i thought it would make a nice change.  The colours used are So Saffron, Baked Brown Sugar and Crushed Curry.  I love this stamp set as it is a two-step stamp set which gives the images so much depth.  In my next post i will show you how i made this card.

A Birthday Gift……..

Good Morning Dear Reader; hope that this finds you well? Today i am having my chimney swept so that we are ready for when the now inevitable awful winter weather arrives.  We are very lucky that Mr.C has access to a large pile of season free wood each year so we can cut our fuel bills by using our fire.  Plus who doesn’t love a roaring fire crackling merrily away in the grate?

Today i am going to share with you the packaging that i made for a friend’s birthday present;

I really love the sand-able Co’ Ordinations range of cardstock that we stock and even more so now that it is available in ALL our colours! On this project i have used a band of Pistachio Pudding Co’ Ordinations  cardstock which i lightly sanded on the edges and topped with a crumpled band of Baked brown sugar DSP from the amazing value in colour paper stack; you get 40 sheets for £19.50 that is 4 sheets of doubled sided DSP in 5 colours! Brilliant value!

I sponged and popped a folded doily under the band and then topped it off with a flower in Crisp Cantaloupe Co’ Ord’s which i punched with the Blossom punch sanded quickly and topped off with a vintage button and a pearl. A quick project that really takes a gift from lovely to special.

You can see a sneak peak of the gift through the clear box that i wrapped it in i will share that with you in a later post.

If you would like to make any of these projects then head over to my shop where you can purchase everything that you need.

Life after the Party. . . . .

Hello Dear Reader; sorry about my tardy return Blogger decided that it didn’t want to post my scheduled posts and when i realised it wouldn’t let me in to sort it out!  Hopefully it will be business as usual from now on.

Now i have done loads of crafting over the last few weeks; so you may get a few extra posts than the Sunday posts so that i can share all my projects with you.  I have been helping my friend Sue prepare her samples for her stand at the Sincerely Yours Papercraft Show at Biggin Hill which is on September 1st so there are some bits i can’t share just yet but if you want to see them in the flesh get yourselves to her Stampin’ Up! stand :)

So in my last post i said that i have re-used the party decorations from H’s birthday party to give them another life. . . .

Well i deconstructed them from their sticks and blue tack-ed them to the wall in a nice arrangement near my desk to pretty up a plain wall.  It took minutes but i think it looks nice and it meant i didn’t have to chuck them or find a place to store them and this way i still get to look at them.

Happiest Birthday

Good morning, we are forecast bad weather today so after dropping M at school i plan on hunkering down and stamping – any excuse eh? lol

Today’s project is a birthday card made for my husbands Nan;

It looks really involved but was actually very quick, thanks to the Labels Framelit dies, i really love how So Saffron and Crumb Cake work so well together.  The stamp set is Apothecary Art which co-ordinates with the framelits perfectly the flower wreath was coloured with the markers finished off with a So Saffron bow.
